Dr SEENIVASAGAM Park (Taman DR) was formerly known as Coronation Park. It is curently the oldest recreational park in Ipoh. There is also having a mini Japanese garden in here. This garden is known as “Japanese Mini Garden” after an accord was signed between Ipoh and Fukuoka on 21 March 1989. The Japanese Garden is decorated with various rock lanterns and rock water pitchers with bamboo trees planted at the park entrance. Willows and pine trees are also planted in this park to enhance the Japanese characteristics. Lotus flowers also add colour to the park, with a wooden bridge connecting the park to the little island in the middle of the lake. Overall, the ambiance in this Japanese Garden makes a person feels that he is actually in Japan.
